David V. Spurlin, MD
David V. Spurlin, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He was born and raised in Detroit and is a proud graduate of Cass Technical High School. He completed his undergraduate training at The University of Michigan and then went on to Medical School at Howard University. He returned to U of M to completed his residency training in Dermatology where he was a member of the Cancer Center’s Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic and a Melanoma Fellow. After graduating, Dr. Spurlin worked in private practice as a dermatologist for three years before establishing Pinnacle Dermatology in August of 2000. Dr. Spurlin maintains concentrations in General Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and Laser Surgery as well as Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr Spurlin is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Michigan Dermatology, American Medical Association, and the Michigan State Medical Society. He is also a member of the staff at Corewell Health Royal Oak (formerly Beaumont Hospital). He lives in Metro Detroit with his wife that he has been happily married to for over 30 years and two Rottweiler dogs.
Victoria Branch, PA-C
Victoria Branch is a Certified Physician Assistant. She is a graduate of Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University where she earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences. Prior to beginning her career as a Physician Assistant, Victoria was part of the staff working as a medical assistant. She subsequently earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College. As a PA student she spent time in Chicago with several highly regarded dermatologists where she received mentorship with a specific focus on skin cancer detection, acne and eczema. Victoria was elected and served as her program’s representative for the American Academy of Physician Assistants Assembly of Representatives. She continued to excel in dermatology by earning a perfect score on her Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam, ranking her among the highest scoring examinees for dermatology content. Her knowledge and over 10 years of experience in dermatology stems from being personally mentored by Dr. Spurlin. Victoria grew up in Harrison Township and is currently a resident of metro Detroit along with her husband, daughter and rescue dog, Wilson.
Jennifer Modesto, PA-C
Jennifer is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University in 2003. In 2006, Jennifer graduated from Central Michigan University’s Physician Assistant program earning a Master of Science Degree. She joined Pinnacle Dermatology in 2006 and worked here for 7 years. Because of family obligations, she moved to North Carolina and then to Florida where she continued working in Dermatology as a Physician Assistant. In August of 2024, she returned to Michigan and rejoined Pinnacle Dermatology. Jennifer offers comprehensive, compassionate evaluations with treatment plans to meet all your dermatologic needs. She enjoys and practices adult and pediatric medical and surgical dermatology, with a particular interest in difficult and complex rashes.
With years of experience in dermatology, she is looking forward to serving the community in Metro Detroit again. Jennifer resides in Metro Detroit with her husband, two children, and our pets, two cats and two dogs."

Luz Ramirez, RN. Spa Coordinator
Luz Ramirez is a Registered Nurse. She has been with Pinnacle Dermatology since 2001. Luz started out as a full time dermatology nurse and excelled in the field. After years of honing her skills as a dermatology nurse, she began to gravitate toward the more cosmetic side of the industry.
The MediSpa, Peau Claire (clear skin in French) opened it’s doors in August of 2006 when Dr. Spurlin expanded his practice from a small office in downtown Birmingham to its current location. Luz has been the Spa Coordinator and oversees the day-to-day operations. Anyone who has met Luz remembers her. Her personality is dynamic, her smile is contagious, her knowledge is vast and her honesty and sincerity is undeniable. There’s no one better in metro Detroit and if you don’t believe us, ask anyone who has seen her. Lasers, Fillers, Botox, Dysport, Chemical Peels, or topical cosmeceuticals, you name it and she knows all about it and is excellent at guiding you in the right direction. Beth Ann Marogi, Radiation Therapist
Beth Ann is a Board-Certified Radiation Therapist with a diverse healthcare background. She began her career as a Certified Medical Assistant in 2011 and continued her education at Oakland University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Diagnostics and Therapeutic Sciences with a focus on radiation therapy. Beth Ann gained experience working in Radiation Oncology at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital and Ascension St. John Hospital.
In 2018, Beth Ann transitioned from hospital-based radiation to specializing in Dermatology with Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy. She joined Pinnacle Dermatology in March 2020 and is passionate about providing patients with a non-surgical option for non-melanoma skin cancers. Beth Ann finds the most fulfillment in being part of the process of curing her patients' skin cancer. She currently resides in Metro Detroit with her husband and two children.
